SAIL AWAY TO AMERICA
Let's find out what it was like to travel from Ireland to America 200 years ago.
There was only one way to travel and that was on board a sailing ship. The journey took at least 4 weeks and usually much longer.
Every voyage was different: some were slow, some were very slow and others didn't get there at all.
